Campus Audiobook Player is built with a deep respect for your privacy. We believe that your listening habits, your library, and your data belong to you — not to us, not to advertisers, and not to any third party. This policy explains in plain language exactly what the app does and does not do with your information, so you can listen with peace of mind.
Campus Audiobook Player does not collect, harvest, log, or transmit any personal information whatsoever. There is no user registration, no account system, no analytics framework, no crash reporting service, no advertising SDK, and no telemetry of any kind. The app does not track your usage, does not know who you are, and does not build a profile about you. It is, and will remain, a self-contained offline audiobook player.
We do not use Firebase, Google Analytics, Sentry, Crashlytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment, Facebook SDK, or any other third-party instrumentation. In fact, we never integrated any of these from day one — the app was designed to function without them.
Every piece of data the app creates lives exclusively on your phone or tablet and never leaves it unless you explicitly initiate a transfer. Specifically, the following data is stored locally:
expo-secure-store) and are never written
to plaintext logs or shareable files. All local data is removable at any time by clearing the app's storage through your device settings or by uninstalling the app. Upon uninstallation, every trace of the app's data is deleted by the operating system.
While the app is fundamentally offline, there are a handful of network features that only activate when you choose to use them. In each case, the connection is user-initiated — the app never calls home in the background.
librivox.org and archive.org
to fetch catalog metadata and audio files. These requests are indistinguishable from
visiting the LibriVox website in a browser.campusnet.ro. This is a plain hyperlink; tapping it opens your default browser.
No information is sent to the website until and unless you choose to visit it.The app requests certain device permissions to function. Here is why each one is needed:
No permission is used for tracking, advertising, or surveillance. Every permission serves a concrete playback or library-management purpose that you directly control.
No third-party SDKs or services collect data through this app. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any information — because we do not have any to share. The cover art lookup services listed above receive only search queries and are not analytics or advertising platforms.
This app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Those platforms may collect diagnostic and usage data as part of their standard app distribution infrastructure. That collection is governed by Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies, not by this one, and is outside our control.
Campus Audiobook Player does not collect personal information, period. It is safe for users of any age. No age-gating, no targeted content, and no behavioral tracking exists in the app.
All data is stored locally on your device. You can remove individual books, server profiles, and settings within the app's interface. You can delete all app data by clearing storage in your device settings or by uninstalling the app. There is no remote copy of your data — once deleted from your device, it is gone permanently.
Because we collect no personal data, there is nothing for us to provide, correct, export, or delete on our side. You have full control over all of your data through the app itself and your device's storage management. If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, or any other jurisdiction with data protection laws, this policy is designed to meet the spirit and letter of those regulations by simply not collecting anything to begin with.
If this privacy policy is updated in the future, the revised version will be published at this URL. In the event of a material change — defined as any new form of data collection — we will notify you through the app before the change takes effect and obtain your consent where required by law. The version date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last revised.
However, we will strive to keep the policy as it is: a commitment to collect nothing.
If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this privacy policy or the app's data practices, please reach out. We will respond as promptly as possible.
